MY OLD DAD
father tries to hold it together
but inside you know he's crying
thinking of the things
he could of been
but gave up trying
he's not a man
to let his feeling show
somehow now
they are too strong
has he reaches the end
you know
the guilt and shame start to show
off days he never
spent with his kids
or told his wife
he loved her
always telling himself
there's always be a tomorrow
just looking in to his eyes
you can see
all the things he missed
pass by
looking back he says
you know how times flies
but when you're there
you think you have forever
at some point
it becomes to late
at some point
there are no more tomorrows
so even thou
its to late for him
he'd just like to say
take your time
to say
I love you
hold that person
like this time will
be the last
because one day
it will
don't leave it to the end
to say
I love you
don't have regrets
like my old dad
