BLUES IN THE GRAVEYARD
I M WALKING THROUGH THE GRAVEYARD MY HEART IS HEAVY AND LOW
THE WIND IS HOWLING THROUGH THE TREES LIKE A MOURNFUL GHOSTLY WOE
MY BABYS GONE AND LEFT ME SHES LYING SIX FEET BELOW
IM FEELING LOST AND LONELY IN THIS BURIAL GROUND
I M SINGING THE BLUES IN THE GRAVEYARD WITH NOBODY TO HEAR MY WOE
I M SINGING THE BLUES IN THE GRAVEYARD WHERE THE DEAD ROAM
I CAN SEE HER GRAVESTONE ITS STANDING TALL AND PROUD
I M KNEELING DOWN BESIDE HER CRYING OUT LOUD
I WISH THAT SHE COULD HEAR ME AND COME BACK TO MY SIDE
BUT SHES GONE FOREVER WHILE IM LEFT HERE TO CRY
I M SINGING THE BLUES IN THE GRAVEYARD WITH NOBODY TO HEAR MY WOE
I M SINGING THE BLUES IN THE GRAVEYARD WHERE THE DEAD ROAM
THE MOON IS SHINING BRIGHT RIGHT NOW CASTING SHADOWS ALL AROUND
FEELING LIKE A LOST SOUL IN THIS BURIAL GROUND
I KNOW THAT SOMEDAY I LL JOIN MY BABY HERE
ONE DAY WE LL BE TOGETHER IN THE SWEET BEYOND SOMEWHERE
I M SINGING THE BLUES IN THE GRAVEYARD WITH NOBODY TO HEAR MY WOE
I M SINGING THE BLUES IN THE GRAVEYARD WHERE THE DEAD ROAM
I LL KEEP ON SINGING MY BLUES UNTIL MY TIME IS THROUGH
AND MAYBE MY BABY WILL HEAR ME IN THE GREAT BEYOND SO TRUE
